May 25: Tornado Warning (History of Large, Damaging Tornado)- Piedmont, MO


...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN BUTLER...EASTERN CARTER...BOLLINGER AND WAYNE COUNTIES
IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...

AT 450 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO.  THIS STORM WAS
LOCATED 6 MILES EAST OF PIEDMONT...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

THE CIRCULATION NORTH OF GREENVILLE HAS 
MOVED INTO MADISON COUNTY
AND IF IT CONTINUES...IT WILL MOVE INTO 
NORTHERN BOLLINGER COUNTY BY
515 PM. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING
A LARGE TORNADO WITH
DAMAGE.

A THIRD STORM IS LOCATED IN EASTERN 
CARTER COUNTY NORTH OF
ELLSINORE. THIS STORM IS DEVELOPING 
AND COULD PRODUCE A TORNADO AT
ANY TIME.

EACH OF THESE STORMS IS CAPABLE OF 
PRODUCING A DANGEROUS TORNADO.
SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY!

STATE PARK...LODI...ZALMA...CASCADE...
GRASSY...PATTON...LEOPOLD...
