   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 204
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   245 PM CDT MON APR 25 2011
   
   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
   TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
   
          CENTRAL AND EASTERN TEXAS
   
   EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 245 PM UNTIL
   1000 PM CDT.
   
   TORNADOES...HAIL TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
   GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
   AREAS.
   
   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 120 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 60 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF
   WACO TEXAS TO 20 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF AUSTIN TEXAS.  FOR A

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
   TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

   DISCUSSION...SEVERE TSTM THREAT IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE THROUGH THE
   AFTERNOON. THIS WILL BE IN ASSOCIATED WITH A BAND OF CONFLUENCE
   ACROSS EASTERN TX...IN ADDITION TO INCREASING DEEP CONVECTION IN
   VICINITY OF THE CENTRAL TX/HILL COUNTRY DRYLINE. STRONG INSTABILITY
   COUPLED WITH THE SOUTHERN PERIPHERY OF STRONGER FLOW ALOFT WILL
   SUPPORT SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED TORNADOES.
   
   AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
   SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 3 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
   WIND GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO
   500. MEAN STORM MOTION VECTOR 27030.
