This is your As You Head to Bed forecast. In the East Coast, it is clear with the exception of South Carolina. A Line of severe storms is lumbering east slowly in the Midwest, and showers continue in Montana. All else is dry. Good night.

A Special Weather Watch has been issued for the following areas:
-West Wisconsin
-West Iowa

At 10:48pm CDT, a very severe line of storms was barreling into these areas slowly.

People in these areas are to turn on a radio NOW, and prepare for intense storms NOW.

This Watch will expire at 5:00am CDT June 18, 2010.

A Special Weather Warning has been issued for the following areas:
-East Minnesota
-West Iowa

At 9:28pm CDT, very severe storms were occuring in a very intense squall line was moving slowly west.

People in these areas are advised to prepare for tornadoes, hail very high winds, flooding, and life-threatening events.

This warning will expire at 1:00am CDT.

Special Weather Warning (West Kentucky, Central, West Tennessee) Update

The Special Weather Warnign is now being updated.

Western Kentucky: Storms from Kentucky have finally moved into Kentucky, still severe levels. Thus, it will expire at 3:30pm CDT for the Kentucky Area.

Tennessee areas: The storms are moving slowly. This warning in Tennesee has been extended to 6:00pm CDT.

As you head out to lunch forecast

Good afternoon, I am Meteorologist Racki with your 'As you head out to Lunch Forecast'. In the East Coast, some light showers are working out of the area in east Maine. A few spotty storms are in Florida. In the Southeast, some storms are becoming severe in Tennessee and Kentucky. In the Midwest, a moderate risk of storms are in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota. Southern Illinois is ridding itself of a severe storm or two. The Southwest holds all dryness. In the Northwest, we see some showers into Montana, but mostly dry elsewhere. Have a good lunch.

Special Weather Watch (Iowa, Minnesota, Western Wisconsin)

A Special Weather Watch has been issued for the following areas:
-Iowa
-Central Minnesota
-South Minnesota
-West Central Wisconsin

At 11:51am CDT, the SPC had placed these areas in a MODERATE RISK area of SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. This easily warrants a Special Weather Watch.

People in these areas are to prepare for tornadoes, hail, high winds, and flooding NOW.

This watch will expire at 9:00pm CDT.

Special Weather Warning (West Kentucky, Central, West Tennessee)

A Special Weather Warning has been issued for the following areas:
-Far West Kentucky
-Central Tennessee
-West Tennessee

At 11:40am CDT, a severe storm area was moving south southeast from Far South Illinois.

People in these areas are to prepare for storms by securing outdoor objects and preparing for minor flooding.

This Warning will expire in the following areas at the following times:
-West Kentucky: 1:00pm CDT
-Tennessee: 2:00pm CDT.

Special Weather Discussion (Far West Kentucky)

A Special Weather Discussion is in effect for Far West Kentucky.

At 11:23am CDT, A Special Weather Watch had been issued for 10 minutes.

This discussion opens the possibilitiy of either a warning or advisory for Kentucky.

At this time, the Kentucky area being mentioned is in a slight risk of severe weather. Seeing how these storms are intensifying as they move, a warning will most certainly be implemented.

A Special Weather Watch has been issued for Far Western Kentucky.

At 11:23am CDT, strong storms were moving southeast from South Illinois.

It is likely this watch will change. It depends if it will be an advisory or warning.

This watch will expire within the next 10 minutes, as a Special Weather Discussion is going to be put in play very shortly.

Special Weather Advisory has been issued for South Illinois.

At 11:21am CDT, strong to severe storms were moving southeast.

This is an advisory doe to the shortness of this bulletin's issue.

This will expire at 12:00pm CDT.

A Rough Seas Advisory has been issued for the following areas:
-Off the coast of the Florida Panhandle
-Off the Alabama Coast

At 7:46am CDT, strong thunderstorms were occuring in those areas.

Sailors are advised to prepare your boat for strong storms moving at an unknown direction.

Sailors should try to move as far east or west from the above areas as possible, or go to a harbor, if you're close enough, and tie up your boat.

This advisory will expire at 12:00pm CDT.
